Total Aerospace Solutions, MAF
Neil Alexander is a Director of Total Engineering Solutions and for much of his career he has been involved in the provision of Aeromedical fit outs for both fixed and rotary wing aircraft. For the last two years he has been flying in Arnhem Land with MAF providing medical, education and material support to remote communities. His engineering background and extensive experience in the Australian aeromedical community provides him a unique opportunity to understand the challenges related to the provision of aeromedical services in East Arnhem Land.
East Arnhem Land provides a range of challenges in the provision of health services to Indigenous people living in remote communities and homelands. Aviation played a key role in the establishment of homelands and continues to play a vital role in sustaining their health and well being. This talk examines the role aviation presently plays and the associated logistics and technical challenges.
