Swiss Air-Rescue Rega operates 19 dedicated HEMS helicopters 24/7 throughout Switzerland. The organisation is in the process of replacing its entire fleet of eight H145, one H135 and 11 AW109SP helicopters. The focus of this presentation will be on planning and medical and operational strategic aspects. Insights and lessons learnt from Rega’s project management, including the steering of this project with a budget of more than 340 million AUD, round off the presentation.
