Abstract

The Australian Stroke Alliance, a collaboration of national clinical, biomedical and research partners, has been working over the last 5 years to develop a world-first scanner to diagnose stroke in the aeromedical, rural and remote setting. EM Vision has successfully completed hospital-based clinical trials of its radio frequency imaging device, and partnered with RFDS to trial the feasibility of utilising this <20kg, portable scanner quickly and effectively in the prehospital retrieval setting, with weather, aircraft and operational constraints. This presentation will share the results of the 20 eligible patients successfully enrolled in this study.
