Rob is an Intensive Care Flight Paramedic (ICFP) working for Ambulance Tasmania with Critical Care and Retrieval (AT-CCR). Rob works in a multidisciplinary (HEMS) team of retrieval doctors, aircrew officers, pilots, and other flight paramedics providing critical care, rescue and retrieval services to the residents and visitors of Tasmania. Rob has a particular interest in critical care in austere and remote settings, with the Tasmanian context providing many opportunities to evolve the AT-CCR service delivery. In a previous life Rob worked as a field training officer and field leader with the Australian Antarctic Division. Rob holds a Master of Emergency Health (Aeromedical and Retrieval).
When not working, Rob pretends to be a trail runner, kayaker, back country skier, and bike-packer (analogue). He particularly enjoys embarrassing is teen-aged kids in public and has a thing for loose leaf tea.
