Mitch Parkinson

Mitch is an Intensive Care Flight Paramedic with Ambulance Tasmania, specialising in Critical Care and Retrieval. He works as part of a multidisciplinary, rotary-wing HEMS team and inter-agency Search and Rescue team. Throughout his career, Mitch has served as an Intensive Care Paramedic in both remote Indigenous communities and coastal urban centres across New South Wales and Tasmania.

Beyond his paramedic role, Mitch brings a diverse background, including registered nursing, commercial aircrew member, and experience as a Helicopter Rescue Crewman with Surf Life Saving Australia.

He thrives in the dynamic, team-based environment of aeromedical healthcare – especially amid the challenging landscapes of Tasmania. In contrast, his annual leave takes him closer to the equator, where he enjoys life on or beneath the water as a lifelong intermediate surfer and free-diver.
