Heliport landings are done at thousands of hospital heliports daily without incident. It is done with such a routine that safety can be taken for granted. In this presentation I will show how a number of accidents have occurred, detail areas that contribute to accidents.

We have a number of requirements for rooftop heliports but is this money well spent? Importantly what can health institutions do to minimise the risk of such incidents and the role each crew member has in accident prevention. Who is responsible if something were to go wrong?
